The Vintage Advantage

So I managed to get some of my film developed at a local Lotte Mart. There was nothing special about these pictures other than they were shot with my Minolta SLR.

I'd develop the rest of them but I just don't trust the guy at the development place to get it right (Since I pushed all of the film by one stop).

Anyway, this is a mix of photographs of Vietnam and Korea.

I'll try to say a little more when I post up the rest of them but I have a somewhere to be. It won't be too long.

I promise.

Enjoy :)

Dusting off the Classics

I've decided to go back to some photos I have on my hard drive. I found photographs I took with the intention to make some Panoramic shots...

So... I did...

The Opposite of "Phone Jockey"

In light of my day off, I think I'm going to post a bit more. This is more of a photo dump again and specifically, from my phone.

Brian and I with a Hanoi reporter

Brian and I went to an art gallery that just so happened to be about the Vietnam War. There was a reporter who interviewed us. It was awesome. I'll post the video at some point of Brian and I pretending we know what we're talking about. ;)
Anyway, I think this might be it for my pics of Vietnam for now... I have a few videos that I want to put up but they are too big... I'll figure out a way and make some sort of video edition :)

Down By the Bay

So in our journey to do something completely tourist-y, we went to Ha Long Bay which is a well known area a few hours from Ha Noi. It was worth the trip but it seems like its sort of a one time deal... Once you've seen it, that's all you need.

Own The Night

Eventually, day turns to night and the Old Quarter shines... Now I will admit that these are more pictures of Brian and I just fucking around but I will put some really good ones later on. Enjoy these for now :)

Tourist...y

So we did see a few tourist destinations. As you all should if you decide to travel. It helps when someone who isn't into the darker sides of a city asks you, "So... What did you do?" without making you feel like a complete loser.

The Museum of Ethinology: A place that dedicates itself to the 24 smaller tribes of Vietnam (Specifically, in Sapa). Brian, the fellow in blue, is looking at wheat mill.

Yes, a wheat mill.
Unfortunately, we didn't get around to seeing this but the doll you see there is known as a water puppet. Ha Noi has shows called water puppet theatre and it's supposed to be incredible. Perhaps on my next visit.

So this is later in the day when we met up Trang, Ha, and Linh to visit the Temple of Literature. People come visit the temple when they need some luck on an academic venture.

A bell!!
A drum!!
Followed by the Vietnam Gallery of Art...

I'll put up a few more pics on a later date.. when I don't feel lazy. The "tourist-y" stuff is always good to have around just in case.
